Rabbi Joshua Cahan teaches Rabbinics and Prayer at the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester. He received rabbinic ordination and his Ph.D. in Talmud from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. His academic work explores how the Talmuds utilize and adapt their sources and how those sources shaped their thought. He also spent eight years as the director of Northwoods Kollel and Beit Midrash at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. Rabbi Cahan has also published articles on the ritual aspects of prayer and was the editor of the Yedid Nefesh bencher.
